Rush Limbaugh & Uncertainty

Last week besides the historic cold front that we experienced, Rush Limbaugh passed away at 70 & 1 month.  Had he delayed claiming Social Security until age 70, he wouldn’t even have collected 1 check before passing away!  One might surmise that he should have claimed as early as possible which would have been 66 since he continued working up until his death.  As I’ve always say “if you tell me your check out date, I’ll tell you when to file for benefits.”  Now since Continue reading →

OUR MISSION

In a study conducted by Benefits Review in 2012 it was discovered that 50% of fully insured workers claim Social Security at age 62. Only 4% claim after their full retirement age, and less than 2% wait to age 70. The study found a relationship between deferred claiming and education, implying bad decisions may be a result of lack of understanding of the implications of their decisions.

Our mission is to be a resource and partner for CPAs and HR Departments when it comes to Social Security questions and education.
